As an educator and advocate for over 25 years, I’ve built deep relationships across Eugene. As your state representative, I’ve stayed committed to being accessible and locally engaged while also fighting for a fair economy and protecting Oregonians from federal overreach in Salem. I’m dedicated to making Oregon a great place to work, play and raise a family for everyone.
What I Stand For
Standing up for a Fair Economy for All
Working families need good paying jobs. No one should have to decide between paying rent and putting food on the table. I’m committed to building an economy that benefits working families and small businesses, not just big corporations.
Standing up for Access to Healthcare
Insurance companies shouldn’t get to decide what type of care we receive. I’ll champion a health care system that is easy to navigate and accessible. I’ll work to ensure Oregonians have access to primary healthcare services and that medical care is a decision between a patient and a doctor.
Standing up for Democracy and Human Rights
No one should be above the law, including the current federal administration. It is essential to protect our rights, our communities, and our democracy against the overreach of the current federal administration. This includes defending voting rights and protecting our immigrant and refugee neighbors.
Standing up for Strong Schools
As an educator I know schools and community colleges are critical pathways to opportunity. I’ll champion investments in the resources, support, and staffing schools and students need to be successful.
Standing up for Reproductive Rights
It's critical we defend comprehensive reproductive healthcare in Oregon when it is under attack in so many states. I'll defend abortion rights by working to codify reproductive health rights in the Oregon Constitution.
Standing up for Safe Affordable Homes for All
I’ve seen firsthand the impact of housing insecurity on families’ and students’ lives. I’ll work to address the housing and homelessness crisis. We need more housing of all types, pathways to home ownership and affordable rental opportunities, and programs to ensure families can stay in their homes.
Standing up for Climate Resilient Communities
Our communities need to be resilient in the face of climate change. I’ll make sure both urban and rural communities are ready for the next disaster and have the resources they need to be prepared. I'll fight to protect Oregon’s natural resources and work towards a clean energy economy.
